I fished with these flies in May\/June of the last few seasons to test them out, and was amazed at the results. We supply two of each fly in two sizes (10's \u0026amp; 12's), in total there are 16 flies supplied in our eco-friendly packaging. These are best tied with CdC as this sits above the surface film and can be easily identified. A great pattern for those early hatches. With its looped wing behind the thorax, this fly just needs a little floatant (easily added to the loop) and it will float all day! A great imitation of the Mayfly. This fly also proved to be very effective from mid-May until mid-July. The spinner is an easy target for Trout, and they can gorge on them in the early evenings. Just treat the wing and thorax with some floatant and have one of the best experiences fly fishing can provide. The fly took a few years to find its final shape - early versions tried to copy the natural pupa's wing buds and legs, but by the early '80s it had settled into the much simpler form it's tied in today.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBergquist himself called it the \"Floating Pupa,\" but a friend of his tried it, realised what he had on his hands, and renamed it Superpuppan - the Super Pupa. The name stuck, and so has the fly it's always been hugely popular in Sweden and Denmark, and has now made its way into North American and Eastern European fly boxes too.
